Deep 6 Racing

The 2001 Deep 6 Racing Team:

The 2001 race team was selected during the first weekend of May 2001. This years decision process was very hard due to the numerous application requests, and the amount of racers that showed up to the lake tryouts. There are currently only 4 members that will be posted for right now. For those of you that have been contacted to become part of Deep 6, you are considered new comers, and will not be exposed to the press yet. For those wondering who the new comers are, you will be able to find out at the first few races. They will be sporting Deep 6 Racing decals, and will be leading the pack. Deep 6 Racing will be leaving the application process open mostly for the 2002 season, but Deep 6 has had a rider go down mid season and needed a replacement. Please feel free to fill out an application and try to be selected to be on the Deep 6 Racing 2002 race team. Click here to fill out an application.

Tony Bowman: AKA The Virus has rejoined to team to defend his 4th place ranking that he received at the 2000 World Finals. Tony's plans are to try to win the World Finals in one of the 2 classes he will compete in.

Todd Anderson: AKA Primetime has made it through his rookie season with Deep 6 and has been selected to participate again with the team. Primetime really turned it on during the last few months of the 2000 season and qualified for the World Finals. He went to the World Finals and finished in the top 20. His 2001 goals are to start racing 2 classes and finish in the top 5 at the 2001 World Finals.

Chuck Tack: AKA Chuck T has also been accepted to compete with Deep 6 Racing for another year. This will be Chuck T's 4th season with Deep 6 Racing. Chuck T's goals are still up in the air yet, and if you know Chuck T, you know why. He has signed a contract to compete in Pro Sport 785 limited. His contract for Pro SKI 785 limited has not been renewed for the 2001 season. Deep 6 Racing decided to only sign one rider per class, so the team was not in direct competition.

Brian Koborg: AKA Big B is also coming back to Deep 6 Racing for another season. Brian has enjoyed 4 seasons with Deep 6 Racing and is working on his 5th. Brian has signed a contract to compete in Novice SKI 785 Limited. It is still up in the air if the team is going to support his request to race SuperStock along with Limited.

Aaron Osborne: AKA OZ was a late entry to the team. Oz showed a little improvement from last season so Deep 6 decided to sign him back up. He will probably still race 785 stock.
