This race was the biggest turnout that we had ever raced at. Over 200 riders showed up to the race in Lincoln, NE to try to qualify for the world finals this year in SanDiego, CA. Chuck and Brian raced against each other and Chuck won again. Chuck ended up getting 2nd over all and Brian got 3rd. After watching them two battle for the first bouy, Brian had a chance to come out in front but he help his line a little too long. He won the hole shot but about 3 boat lenghts but he didn't merge over. After the race I spoke with Brian and he said that he got confused and thought he was to go on the outside split course, so he was riding towards the wrong bouy (Have another beer). I think that might have lost it for Brian. As for the rest of the team Fred and Pickle both raced in the same class and Pickle got third and Fred got fourth. It was amazing that we even got Fred up for the race, but I think he got his sleep in between races. Tony raced his boat again in Novice runabout 785 limited. He had 18 riders show up in his class. He didn't finish vey well over all though. He was complaining about some carb problems early in the day, and sure enough the problem occured at the worst time of the day. At the starting line in the second moto, his boat died at the snap of the rubberband. Well now we are off to St. Louis, MO for a stop on the pro tour.
